Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with WBSC Men’s World Cup silver medalist and current member of the Canadian Men’s National Team, Cory Jones.
Jonsey has had quite a career to date. He was a member of the 2008 Canadian Junior Team that won a silver medal in Whitehorse, was an All-Canadian in 2019 with the Grande Prairie Pirates and as mentioned, a big part of the Canadian Men’s National Team that brought home a silver from the WBSC Men’s World Cup a few month ago down in New Zealand.
We’re gonna talk to Jonesy about getting his start in the game, the influence his Dad played in his development, his lifetime contract he signed with Grande Prairie that he doesn’t really recall, of course, the World Cup and much, much more.
Jonesy was an absolute pleasure to chat with. Hopey and I are excited to see what kind of big moments lie ahead for him. Just as long as it isn’t against the Mastodons this summer at Nats, hopefully it's all good.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of Arkansas alum, current volunteer coach with the Georgia Bulldogs and Athletes Unlimited star, Danielle Gibson.
Gibby has had a fantastic career to date and she’s still going strong. She is a two time NFCA All-American, 2018 NFCA Freshman of the Year Finalist, two time All-SEC Defensive Team selection and 2022 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Finalist. She also holds the distinction of hitting for the homerun cycle back in 2019. Not only that she did it in 4 innings. That’s just insane. Of course, we’re gonna get into detail on that.
We’re also going to chat about how she got her start in the game, her time at Arizona State, the transfer to Arkansas and her time there, as well as, her journey into pro with Athletes Unlimited and much, much more.
Gibby was an absolute pleasure to chat with and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for her on and off the diamond down the road

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with utility, redshirt junior with the UCLA Bruins, and Barona, California native, Seneca Curo.
Seneca is currently going into her 4th season with the Bruins and is the ultimate utility player. Last season alone she played five different positions, 1st, 2nd, short and 3rd, and then some in the outfield.
We’re gonna talk to Seneca about growing up on the Barona Indian Reservation in southern California with her parents and four brothers. How she made the transition from baseball to softball, her whole recruiting process to UCLA and, of course, her mom’s amazing enchiladas.
Sen was an absolute treat to chat with. I’m so excited to see what is in store for her this season and life after UCLA. I’m sure big things definitely are.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with WBSC Men’s World Cup bronze medalist and US Men’s National Team member, Brad Kilpatrick.
Brad has had fantastic career so far and he’s just getting started. Besides the previously mentioned bronze medal at the 2022 WBSC Men’s World Cup, he’s also a gold medalist with Australian Men’s Junior National Team that won the 2018 WBSC Junior Men’s World here in Prince Albert, Sask.
We’re gonna talk to Brad about getting his start in the game in his hometown of Sydney, Australia, that junior world title win, what its like being a part of the University of Florida Gators softball program and, of course, that epic bronze medal win against the defending champion, Argentina, at the World Cup almost 2 months ago.
Brad was an absolute beauty to chat with. Hopey and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. Pretty sure there may be a coaching role down the line.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and University of Florida Gator alum, Kelly Barnhill.
Kelly’s career to date has been nothing short of amazing. As mentioned with that Player of the Year award, she is a 3 time NFCA All-American, ESPNW Player of the Year winner, she won an Espy Award in 2017, along with a Honda Sport Award and SEC Pitcher of the Year. That’s just a sample size of the many awards Kelly has won.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Canadian Men’s National Team member and recent silver medalist at the WBSC Men’s World Cup down in Auckland NZ, Quinten Bruce.
Q has had quite a career to date and its just getting started. This past summer alone he was named to the ISC All World Team, was an All Canadian at the Senior Men’s Nationals in Newfoundland, an All World Selection at the WBSC Men’s World Cup, as well as, the top hitter in the tournament. That’s just crazy!
We’re gonna talk to Q about getting his start in the game, the 2017 Canada Games where he and Team Ontario captured gold, winning an ISC World Title with his favorite boyhood team, the Hill United Chiefs, of course this amazing past 2022 he just had and much, much more.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of North Texas and University of Oklahoma alum and current member of the USSSA Pride of the WPF, Hope Trautwein.
Hope has had a remarkable career to date. She is a 2022 National Champion with the Sooners where she would also be named to the WCWS All-Tournament Team, she was a 2022 All Big 12 First Team selection, was named the 2021 Conference USA Pitcher of the Year and is also the only player in NCAA Division I history to ever throw and immaculate perfect game with 21 strikeouts.
We’re gonna talk to Hope about getting her start in the game, her unorthodox recruiting process to North Texas, that crazy 21 strikeout, perfect game performance in April of 2021, of course, last years National Title with the Sooner, joining the USSSA Pride in the newly formed WPF and much, much more.

Outside The Chute is so happy to have on with us this week, the reigning Extra Innings Softball #1 ranked player for 2024 and current UCLA Bruin commit, Addisen Fisher.
Addi’s list of accomplishments in the game so far are staggering and she is just getting started. She is a two time Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year, 2022 Mountain Valley Conference Pitcher and Player of the Year, 2021 USA Today Oregon High School Player of the Year and that’s just naming a few.
We’re gonna talk to Addi about getting her start in the game, what it was like playing in the PGF Future’s All-American game this past summer, we chat a fair bit about Taylor Swift and, of course, the journey that led to her committing to UCLA.
