Outside The Chute sat down with Arizona Sun Devils Alum and Athlete’s Unlimited member, San Diego’s own, Morgan Howe.
Morgan has had a remarkable career to date, as she would be named to the 2017 NFCA All-Pacific Region 2nd Team and All-Mountain Team at Fresno State before transferring to Arizona State, where she go on to be named a, Pac-12 and NFCA All-Region First Team, a First Team All-American, while also making a trip to the 2018 Women’s College World Series. Last season Morgan participated in the inaugural season of Athlete’s Unlimited where she finished 25th overall in the points standings.
We’re gonna talk to Morgan about getting her start in the game down in Cali, her recruiting process, her time at Fresno State, her transfer to Arizona State, of course, Athlete’s Unlimited, as well as, much, much more.
This was an absolute fantastic interview, as Morgan’s outgoing, no holds barred, personality made for one of our favorite interviews to date.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with 4 time ISC All World selection and 3 time ISC World Champion, Rob Schweyer.
Rob has had an amazing career to date spanning all the way back to the early 90’s, and he’s still going strong today, most recently winning an ASA Championship last year in OKC.
We’re going to talk to Rob about getting his start in the game in Ontario, what it was like juggling ball and professional hockey, his tremendous success on the ISC circuit, as well as, his RS Sports Training he does down in California where he is having fantastic results.
Rob was an absolute gem to chat with as he has seen it all in the game and I have no doubt everyone is going to enjoy this episode.

Outside The Chute sat down with Washington Huskies Alum and co-founder of The Packaged Deal, Morgan Stuart.
Morgan had a fantastic 4 years at the University of Washington, where she would have three, honorable mention All-Pac 10 honors, a first team All Academic Pac-10 and be named to the Women’s College World Series All Tournament Team after her and the Huskies captured the National title in 2009. For all she accomplished with the Huskies, she would be inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 2014.
Morgan would go on to play professionally in Switzerland, as well as, with the Filipino National Team before turning her attentions to helping young player’s grow in the game, as she, along with, Amanda Scarborough, and Jen and Katie Schroeder created “The Packaged Deal” with a mission to elevate the game and impact lives. This was such a great interview as we covered Morgan’s early playing days, her time at Washington, being an Easton Ambassador and of course her fantastic training business she has currently put together.

Outside The Chute sat down with a legend from our parts. He’s a 4 time All-Canadian, 10 time Mainland Fastball Batting Champion, former goaltender with the California Golden Seals in the NHL and Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Famer, Lyle Carter.
We’re gonna talk to Lyle about getting his start in the game back in the day in the village of Brookfield, competing at the 1969 Canada Games in Halifax, what it was like to play a National on home soil in Brookfield back in 1971, his experience of playing in the NHL and much, much more.
Getting to interview Lyle was an absolute pleasure for Chris and myself as we’ve been on the other side of it over the years with him interviewing us for the Truro Daily News, which he always made such an enjoyable experience. Trust me, everyone is going to love hearing Lyle’s stories.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Washington Huskies Alum and Canadian National Team member, Jenn Salling.
Jenn has had an amazing career to date as she was the 2007 Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year, competed at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, won a NCAA National Championship in 2009 with the Washington Huskies, as well as, a 2015 Pan Am Games gold on home soil with Team Canada just to name a few.
We’re going to talk to Jenn about getting her start in the game in Port Coquitlam, BC at a young age, competing at the 2005 Canada Games, which resulted in a gold medal, the thrill of playing in the 2008 Olympic Games, and trust me, much, much more.
Jenn was such a treat to chat with and will go down as one of the best our country has ever produced. You’ll see how much passion she has for our game in this great talk.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Vice President of Communications and Operations for the ISC, Play by Play announcer with Ballpark Broadcasting and coach with the 2016 ISC World Champion Toronto Gators, Blair Setford.
Blair is well known in Men’s Fastpitch circles with his work with the International Softball Congress over the years, his fantastic calls on Ballpark Broadcasting which has seen him behind the mic for numerous huge events, including the Men’s WBSC’s, ISC World’s and Canadian Nationals, just to name a few.
We’re going to talk to Blair on getting his start in the game in Jordan, Ontario, becoming involved in the executive side of the game, that amazing 2016 World Title win with the Toronto Gators, as well as, much much more.
Blair was such a great guy to have on for our milestone 50th episode as he can not only tell a good story, but has such a rich knowledge of the game that it makes those stories even better.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Purdue University alum, former Dallas Charge pro and host of “When The Cleats Come Off”, Ashley Burkhardt.
Ash had a stellar four years at Purdue, where she earned three straight All-Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA). She was also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and garnered first-team All-Big Ten accolades in 2014. She was drafted in the National Pro Fastpitch League by the Dallas Charge where she would spend two years before moving on to the coaching ranks and then starting her own business called Ashley Burkhardt Training.
We’re gonna talk to Ash about getting her start in the game, her time at Purdue, of course, her Ashley Burkhardt Training, which produced the fantastic podcast “When The Cleat Come Off”, as well as, much, much more.
It was an absolute joy to get to talk to Ashley about her career and the success of her training program. I’m sure big things are in store for her and I wish Ash nothing but the best moving forward.

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with former Team Canada National Team member and St John’s, NL native, Rob O’Brien.
OB had a fantastic career that spanned almost 20 years. He’s a 4 time ISC All World selection, 3 time, Canadian Nationals MVP, 6 time ASA Champion, 8 time Canadian National Champ, as well as, an ISC World Title in 2010.
We’re gonna talk to Rob about getting his start growing up in Newfoundland, representing Canada at the 1993 ISF World Junior Championships in New Zealand and bringing home the gold, his storied ISC and Canadian National career and, of course, the successful Goofie Newfie Pub & Grill that OB owns in Fergus, Ontario.
Rob was an absolute pleasure to chat with and we shared a ton of laughs in this episode. Pretty sure everyone is definitely going to love this interview.
