Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Hall of Famer and Victoria, BC native, Mike Piechnik.
Peaches had an absolute amazing career spanning over 30 years. He’s a 9 time ISC All World selection, 2 time Pan Am Games gold medalist, has 4 Canadian Senior Men’s National Titles, a 1992 ISF Gold medal with Team Canada and has thrown a record 4 ISC perfect games just to name a few.
We talked to Mike about getting his start in the game after the tragic work place death of his father, how he became a pitcher after starting as an outfielder, playing down in New Zealand, as well as, the amazing 3 week span where he had 4 perfect games.
Peaches was such a great guy to chat with and after hearing this you’ll understand why he was so loved and respected in the softball world.
